What about the permissions of the /usr/lib/crt1.o file? Does the user
you're currently running having permissions to read the
/usr/lib/crt1.o file? The permissions of that file should be
-rw-r--r--(644) i think. (And owned by root? atleast mine are)

I think it might be able to find the file, but it might not have the
right permissions to open the file.
