I'm actually not sure how the md5sum got messed up because it should have been the same for quite a while. Anyway, would you please try using the snapshot of the 6.3 branch that I created? http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/6.3-branch/ A handful of fixes have come in since -rc1.
