One thing I see would be to benefit from a so-called multilib system in which both 32 and 64 bit libs cohabit. I'd believe that following a straigth LFS build using a FC6 x86_64 system would yield a pure 64 bit system which would then prevent some applications that requires 32 bit libs from compiling and running. Nevertheless, unless someone comes forth and says that it simply will not work, I will try to build a straight LFS on a 64 bit system. Any comments appreciated, cheers.
