The x86 is the targeted hardware for the LFS book, but I did use an
older version of the livecd that had 64 bit support and the lfs book to
build onto an AMD AM2 system, I used CLFS as hints when I hit an error I
couldn't solve without it. Using the CLFS project only would have made
the build easier, but it can be done if you are willing to put the
effort into it.
