Hi,

I'm preparing LFS for an embedded System booting from a CF Card.

I installed 6.3, and copied the build result to the mounted cf-card
(with cp -a). The kernel is made for an i586 architecture.

I'm trying to boot up in an IBM Netstation, where the cf fits in.

The boot process works until the point that the fs is mounted, and it
says "Freeing unused kernel memory". After that I have no output on the
console, but the kernel seems to work, i.e. it is able to blank the
screen after a while, and kbd inputs are recognised.

Any ideas what I could have missed (I guess something with the init
process)

best regards
