I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't select a particular driver. I'm not at the console right now, but I'll check to see what specific framebuffer options I selected in the kernel.
My recollection is that I selected general framebuffer support, and two nVidia framebuffer options. I did that because I wasn't sure which driver to use with my nVidia card (it's a just purchased PCI-E card). The kernel help file wasn't too clear on which I should use. I wonder if the presence of two nVidia framebuffer drivers is causing the boot process to select one at random, one of which works with my card and one which doesn't? - Mark -----Original Message----- From: Valter Douglas Lisbôa Jr. [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 12, 2008 10:04 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; LFS Support List Subject: Re: Various Issues, Mostly Connectivity On Tuesday 12 February 2008 13:52:16 Mark Olbert wrote: > I've built an LFS 6.3 system, it boots fine (with one oddity; see below), > but am running into several issues that are preventing me from deploying it > (it's destined to be a firewall/router). > > 1) I compiled framebuffer support into the kernel. I have a similar issue with nvidia, I switch to VESA and then its function. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 2868 (20080212) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 2868 (20080212) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
