Are you sure it's a 32-bit chip, pretty much all recent dual-core chips 
wether Intel or AMD are 64-bit, and judging from what you list above it 
tells me it is a 64-bit chip, and it also sounds as if Debian is running 
a 64-bit kernel which is why your getting the x86_64-unknown stuff. I 
don't know if it's possible to put a 32-bit kernel in there, I've never 
used debian (don't know what wether the userland tools are 64-bit or 
32-bit), I've been using ubuntu, as the base lately until I can get my 
build scripts back in order.
