Just for the record, this comment is more about the historical attitude
of the LFS community, not about the questions raised.

Trent has a point. Especially in times past, the community did not
really take much time to answer questions that were documented
elsewhere. The general build method in LFS has been around for several
versions now (read, several years) and most of us get along with it
fine. So, typically, the reply to this kind of question would have been:
FBBG (or the more rude version).

The replies to Stealth's questions have been a lot more patient than
they would have been before. I think perhaps because we're acknowledging
that the book _can_ be confusing and perhaps it is time to consider
revising a few basic things.

In any case, it is always a better teaching method to show patience with
individual students than to let them fall to the wayside with a harsh
reply. Of course, I don't think we want to spoon-feed anyone. We do want
them to be able to find the answer themselves. But I think sometimes a
nudge in the right direction is appropriate and definitely as a rule
patience with our readers is better.

And Stealth, if you look a little closer, I think you should be able to
see that with the above two paragraphs, Trent was actually trying to
give you some patient nudges in the right direction.
