Perl : "Bad file descriptor"

I'm using the SVN-20090611 version of the LFS book and I'm using OpenSUSE  
10.3 as the host. When installing Perl(running "sudo sh Configure -des  
-Dprefix=/tools \
                   -Dstatic_ext='Data/Dumper Fcntl IO POSIX'") i got an  
error :
"Configure: line 69: 4: Bad file descriptor"
