Hi Justin,

thanks that cleared things up and I was able to proceed. 

Also, I was able to build and install GCC without any issues but I didn't build 
the supporting packages (mpfr and gmp) and I don't have the devel package for 
them installed.

I guess it would be safe to rebuild GCC =) after building mpfr and gmp!
