Dear maintainer
I've recently build successfully the lfs 6.4. I really appreciate the
amazing work you have done. I did not encounter major problems. Some of
them resulted because i wanted a "short cut", but i realized that there
isn't !!!!
Nevertheless i would like to comment a few points. I think that some
lfs-newbies would appreciate it.
1. Wouldn't it be helpful to mention at the beginning, that the build
process should not be interrupted before completing chapter 5?
2. At chapter "6.47.2. Non-English Manual Pages in LFS" the command:
cp -rv man? /usr/share/man/de did only work without the
question mark "?". Or did I something wrong?
3. I got a little stacked on chapter
"7.9. The Bash Shell Startup Files"
e.g. the book states: "Replace <ll> below with the ..."
but this is quite a lot more down. Maybe this statement could be
closer to the mentioned part.
And I got a little confused too, what I really should put for
<ll>_<CC>.<charmap><@modifiers>
Otherwise the build went very smoothly and I have a new shiny lfs 6.4,
build with my new mandriva 2009.1
