Sometimes I get an IO error on the mount point I'm working on.

I'm using a usb drive /dev/sdc1 mounted on /mnt/lfs.

In step 6.33 something happened and I can't do a ls command anymore, I get IO
errors.

What is the best way to remount the lfs directory, chroot, then continue from
where I left off at step 6.33?

I think this was caused by doing a gparted or a yum update .
