I'm not sure what you are doing to get this error. I checked my log for gtk+-2.10.13 and there is no mention of im-multipress.so. I also don't have a /usr/lib/libgio-2.0.so.0 file at all. Did you set some other flags? BTW, please ignore William's mantra about upgrading. My main system is an LFS build from 2005 with a lot of upgrades. It is not necessary to always rebuild everything to the latest version.
