You shouldn't be stuck - If you read the NOTE in section 4.6 "About the Testsuites" you will find that we DO NOT recommend that you run testsuites in chapter 5. Please read that note, then carry on without running tests in chapter 5. > WARNING: Couldn't find the global config file. > WARNING: No tool specified I think those warnings are normal, but I have insufficient interest in either dejagnu or testsuites to bother researching what they mean! > Test Run By lfs on Wed Jul 7 16:07:05 2010 > Native configuration is i686-pc-linux-gnu > > === tests === > > Schedule of variations: > unix > > Running target unix > Using /mnt/lfs/sources/dejagnu-1.4.4/testsuite/../config/base-config.exp as > tool-and-target-specific interface file. > Using /mnt/lfs/sources/dejagnu-1.4.4/testsuite/config/default.exp as > tool-and-target-specific interface file. > Running /mnt/lfs/sources/dejagnu-1.4.4/testsuite/libdejagnu/tunit.exp ... > FAIL: Pass message > FAIL: Fail message > FAIL: Untested message > FAIL: Unresolved message > Running /mnt/lfs/sources/dejagnu-1.4.4/testsuite/runtest.all/libs.exp ... > Running /mnt/lfs/sources/dejagnu-1.4.4/testsuite/runtest.all/options.exp ... > Running /mnt/lfs/sources/dejagnu-1.4.4/testsuite/runtest.all/stats-sub.exp > ... > Running /mnt/lfs/sources/dejagnu-1.4.4/testsuite/runtest.all/stats.exp ... > > === Summary === > > # of expected passes 62 > # of unexpected failures 4 Like most people here, I've no idea what those tests do, nor whether such failures in chapter 5 on *any* host are normal. I don't run tests in chapter 5. Even in chapter 6, deciding if the number of failures are enough to worry about is a question of judgement. ĸen -- After tragedy, and farce, "OMG poneys!" -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
