 It's to fix the problem with make-3.82.  In chapter 5 you are using the
host system's make.

 Hmm, actually, if anyone wants to run a "can it build itself" test,
or is building from Mandriva cooker, they'll need it in chapter 5.
I hadn't thought of that.
