Let me clarify those numbers - svn-20101206 says install gstreamer-0.10.25 and base-plugins-0.10.25. totem-2.30.2 asks for gstreamer >= 0.10.28.1 and base-plugins >= 0.10.26 I installed 0.10.29 for both which seems to work ok.

I used the version described in svn-20101206. Totem ./configure says it needs gstreamer-0.28.1 or later and also the base-plugins-0.26 or later. Both versions listed are 0.10.25.
