Silly me and MY fat fingers.

I am in the course of rebuilding. Abandoned the old model. Working on
a new build. Since I'm assembling bash scripts for the construction of
the thing, I've decided to step back through it one careful accurate
well-struck note at a time. Perhaps at some point in the future I'll
have a nice LFS waltz, if not a symphony.

One item of suspicion, I noticed that on the previous build, while
working in my chroot environment, I'd another tab in the terminal set to
/mnt/lfs/sources ... occasionally, I'd jump to that tab and reload a bz2
or something like that. One or two errors popped up in my chroot
environment. Suddenly, I suspected that to be the problem ... maybe
not. In any case, I've one terminal and only one tab ... chroot.
Things seem to be going swimmingly ... until this -npl -Npl moment.

Thanks for the accurate advice. How many damned hours have I spent at
this keyboard and how many times have I told myself, "if it don't work,
check 2 things: command syntax and file permissions."
