 I don't know if the (old) LFS Live CD includes an openssh server.
If it does, you definitely need to start it, and you'll need to
configure the network before you start openssh.

 The only times I've used an LFS Live CD I was directly logged in.
But, it's *old*.  Maybe systemrescuecd would be a better host - I
haven't tried building from that, but it includes enough tools to
give me confidence that it is generally useful (e.g. it let me
restore my backups from nfs, and I think it had some sort of xorg
system on it).

 Oh, and please don't top post - it makes the conversation
impossible to understand.  And we don't give advice on windows
programs such as putty .  Ever ;-)
