Hello,
"ASUS P5E-VM HDMI" with Intel G35/ICH9R.
Intel Core2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz, 4GB
(B)LFS i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.6.37
I upgraded to 2.6.37 (from 2.6.36.2) and, for the first time
in recent memory, the system freezes solid on trying to go to graphics.
My long standing intel driver seems to disagree with 2.6.37:

(END - i.e., that's all folks: Blank Screen of Death)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interestingly (coincidentally?), Linus (himself) makes the
following comment in the 2.6.37 release:
"We did have another revert to fix hopefully the last "blank screen"
regression on intel graphics."
<https://lkml.org/lkml/2011/1/4/266>
I noticed Xorg has been at 7.6 for quite a while.
Before BLFS releases the official instructions, maybe I should try to
install it on my own in order to test.
Good idea?
Is it possible Linus tested with (and fixed) the intel driver for 7.6?
