Having an issue with the install step of this package. Seems it doesn't like the symbolic link of
ln -sv /tools/bin/perl /usr/bin This is as far as I get: /tools/bin/install -c /sources/glibc-build/iconv/iconvconfig /usr/sbin/iconvconf ig.new mv -f /usr/sbin/iconvconfig.new /usr/sbin/iconvconfig /tools/bin/install -c /sources/glibc-build/iconv/iconv_prog /usr/bin/iconv.new /tools/bin/install: accessing `/usr/bin/iconv.new`: Not a directory make[2]: *** [/usr/bin/iconv] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory '/sources/glibc-2.13/iconv' make[1]: *** [iconv/subdir_install] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory '/sources/glibc-2.13' make: *** [install] Error 2 This is on a virtual machine running under vmware Virtual Server 2. I only got the standard posix/annexc error during the test. Any ideas where to start to troubleshoot? I have been past this point in the past on another machine. Would it be bad to remove that symbolic link for this part of the install? Thanks, Steve
