Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim Washko To be honest, you don't need to worry about the logging daemons unless you can debug the system and the kernel well. However, in /etc/profile, you should have replaced the <> with the information specified, such as en_US.utf8. It doesn't work very well otherwise. Elly Boyd
