 LFS is supposed to be educational!  In LFS itself we have several
times shown how to set PS1.  I guess we assume that people who come
to LFS are already experienced in customising their environment.

 Remember that LFS is fairly minimal.

 In my own case, in one of my startup files I have:
export PS1='\u@\h \w \$'

 If you really want to go to town on PS1, .bash* and similar
configuration then please see chapter 3 of BLFS.  Your system, your
rules.  Enjoy it.
