The kdenetwork package contains these programs: kget: Download manager (mostly useful if you're using konqueror as your browser, but i guess most people use firefox) kppp: pppd frontend (who uses ppp anymore?) kopete: Instant messaging client (maybe useful to someone, personally I use facebook chat for IM) krdc/krfb: Desktop sharing client/server (don't know about this one) kdnssd: Zeroconf support filesharing: System control panel for file sharing with samba.
