Hello all,

Certain commands require that I run as root but after chroot'ing sudo is no
longer availible.

Is there a way to do this?

OpenSSL in BLFS has this command which must be run as root:

make MANDIR=/usr/share/man install
install -v -d -m755 /usr/share/doc/openssl-1.0.1c
cp -v -r doc/{HOWTO,README,*.{txt,html,gif}} \
    /usr/share/doc/openssl-1.0.1c
