Hello all,

In my perusings (is that a real word?) of the grub release notes at:

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2012-06/msg00093.html

I read this ... just pass the middle:

* grub-mkdevicemap removed. Now all devices are detected on invocation of
  any grub utility.

Does this mean that the command is removed entirely?
All other commands auto detect and there is no devicemap file any more after
2.00?

The LFS 7.2 book still mentions this command at:

6.47.2. Contents of GRUB

and uses it at:

8.4.2. GRUB Naming Conventions

So I am confused.

Thanks.
