There's your problem. Go back to the "Host System Requirement" page and re-read it - the text, that is, not just the script. The first item on the list is the one you want - the one that says "/bin/sh should be a symbolic or hard link to bash". While you're there, check everything else matches. There's a reason we list these things as requirements - you *will* have problems building LFS if you don't follow them. Simon.
