Thanks for the links Ken, but in their explanations they are making use of the 
/etc/default/grub which is not created by the LFS grub installation and thus, I 
can not edit it: I must create it and I don't know what its full contents 
should be.

Note: One of the links pointed me to command vbeinfo, which is quite useful.

The ideal for me, would be to load the bootsplash making use only of the 
settings defined in grub.cfg and using the image located in /boot/grub. I think 
that would keep it fast and minimal.

What about the kernel options? Do I have to activate something on the kernel as 
I said before or to compile grub with some special option?

Yes, I'm aware of all that you just said (I learn it the hard way when I 
rebooted the LFS for the first time :-)).
Personally, I use 'SystemRescueCD' (as a mounted iso in the virtual host) and 
I'm quite happy with it.

I think a good place for a LFS bootsplash installation guide should be at the 
BLFS, since after my search I realized how many people looks for that. The 
already existing hint for the bootsplash was interesting, but as I said before, 
too outdated.
