Sorry about that.  I was jumping to conclusion.

Since BinUtils is the first package to be build, there should be some
additional info on directories of $LFS/sources, like:

      binutils-2.24
      binutils-build

or some notes that say:

     If you encounter error "Permission denied", be sure that you are
inside binutils-2.24 directory.

This is just a suggestion to help newbies like me.

Please explain how the instructions on page 5.3 are not clear enough, particularly:

"For each package:

Using the tar program, extract the package to be built. In Chapter 5, ensure you are the lfs user when extracting the package.

    Change to the directory created when the package was extracted.

    Follow the book's instructions for building the package."

Also, note that LFS is not meant for Linux newbies.
