I really don't understand why you want to use older versions of
packages.  Updates are made all the time to fix many of the problems
you run into.

Right. But when you ask us to help with something that is not current (which you seem to do fairly often) it is difficult for those of us trying to provide support.

I suppose it's easier to just not respond to these types of questions, but we do get others asking similar questions because they really don't know what is current.
