Yes, many people. You seem to be trying to script a build; and are introducing extraneous, erroneous showstopper roadblocks (ref the '&&' bizarreness) into your scripts; and are thus _NOT_ following THE BOOK; yet you seem to be at least implicitly criticising the book. Do a manual build, following carefully THE BOOK : only after successful completion of such, should any attempts at automating/scripting be done - unless you really know what you're doing. > I'm starting to think this is some kind of joke. Albeit not very funny. Tone? > > > If anybody out there has done this I would be interested to hear what host > system you did this from. Slackware '-current', & in-house 'distro'; all dead simple, no problem. (Note also that - per internet-standard 'how to ask questions' etiquette - the likes of the aforenoted tone, will often reduce the number of replies that you'd've gotten otherwise.) hth, akh -- -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page Do not top post on this list.
