Hi all.
I'm building svn-11023 ; my host is slackware 14.1. Every thing goes right
in chapter 5.
When creating, as user lfs, /dev, /proc, etc. in 6.2, I obtained
"permission denied".
I followed the book strictly (and it's not my first build) except a small
deviation :-) LFS=/lfs instead of /mnt/lfs but I always did that.
Command "ls -ld $LFS" gives
drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 Feb 22 07:03 /lfs
This semms the problem but I cann't remember a command about the owner $LFS.
Nevertheles I ran "chown lfs:lfs $LFS" ; I could create the directories
but for the next command :
mknod: '/lfs/dev/console': Operation not permitted
What did I missed ?
Thanks for help.
Chapter ^6 is carried out as user "root"
