Hi

I have deciced that I want to build a Linux from scratch. It seems to me that the system (tht is the PC) that is building the kernel will also be the system that uses the kernel.
Is this correct?

I ask this because my intention is to have the my LSF on a system that does not yet have any Linux distribution installed. Will I be able to build the kernel in a Virtual Box on Windows
and somehow transfer it to the target system including the boot sector?
