Hi,
I'm working to LFS version 7.9 and I've hit a problem building a second
pass of Binutils 2.26 (Chapter 5.9).
For the second pass I created a 'build_pass2' subdirectory instead of
deleting the original 'build' directory used in pass 1, and re-creating
it.
Don't do that. Sometimes the build process modifies files in the sources
directory tree. Always start by removing the directory and reextracting the
tarball.
If you still have a problem after doing that, come back with the details of the
problem.

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your response however it did turn out to be a path issue. $PATH
wasn't exported, I didn't have my environment setup correctly.
