I apologize if this isn't the right place for this question. In the LFS book 7.9, I ran the binutils test suite in Chapter 6 as instructed.
During the glibc tests, I was able to find the cause of the errors with a quick search, so I knew they weren't a problem. I am unable to determine whether the errors are serious or not. The following is the result of piping "make check" to "grep FAIL": FAIL: Link with zlib-gabi compressed debug output FAIL: LTO 3a FAIL: LTO 3b FAIL: LTO 3c FAIL: LTO 5 FAIL: LTO 11 FAIL: LTO 12a FAIL: LTO 12b FAIL: LTO 13 FAIL: LTO 14 FAIL: LTO 15 FAIL: PR ld/13066 FAIL: PR ld/13201 FAIL: PR ld/15323 (3) FAIL: PR ld/15323 (4) FAIL: PR ld/12942 (1) FAIL: PR ld/12942 (2) FAIL: LTO 7 FAIL: LTO 8 FAIL: LTO TLS IE My question is twofold: 1) Are any of these serious problems, and if so, what do I need to do to fix them? 2) Where can I look to determine what causes failures in the future? -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page Do not top post on this list.
