Sysvinit contains the init program, the inittab file and accessory programs 
like shutdown. These are universal across all distros that use sysvinit.

The init scripts are distro-specific. They are launched by init, following the 
specifications in /etc/inittab.

And the OK and similar messages are usually set by functions that are sourced 
by all the scripts.
