do you mean, that first we should run "cd $LFS/sources/gcc-6.3.0 &&
mkdir -v build && cd build" and than do "../libstdc++-v3/configure \"
etc.?
I thought "cd $LFS/sources/gcc-6.3.0/libstdc++-v3 && mkdir -v build &&
cd build && ../configure /".

Hello TPH,
The result should be the same - it's just another location for the
build-dir, but for the sake of streamlining the commands, the build-dir
is keept in the GCC top dir.
However, I wouldn't advice deviating from the build-instruction given in
the book.
