lfs boots and is up and running ... devuan doesn't show on the startup
menu, just lfs ... i'll have to see what's up with that. the original
grub.cfg had an entry for

insmod gzio

so i added one too.

i'll muck around and see what's up ... the main thing is that i now have
an lfs system up and running!

phenomenal amount of work by you all over the years to enable me to just
follow the recipes in the book and come up with a working linus system on
my own.

thank you very much. i appreciate your efforts ... and my new system.

i'll let you know what the problem was when i've fixed it.
