Mine was a Power Mac G5 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Mac_G5
but with only a 1.6 GHz single CPU and (according to wikipedia)
PC2700 RAM - I can recall that I expanded the memory, but perhaps
only to 1GB, and I thought the memory was *much* slower than that
(maybe pc2100 [ 133x2 ]).

Yours might have faster RAM. The details of getting it to boot
(powerpc-utils, yaboot) were in cross-lfs, looks as if that was
updated fairly recently and still covers ppc64 -
http://clfs.org/view/git/ppc64-64/index.html

Hope you enjoy it - the last time I used mine was many years ago. I
did try booting it and then putting a newer kernel on it some years
ago, but even that was in the days of 3.10 stable kernels. I've
forgotten most of what I knew about it, and I'd like to forget the
rest (e.g. using lower-quality ogg files for music over nfs, because
the network connection was so slow).

Latterly, apart from the 64-bit kernel and 64-bit gcc, binutils, I
built all 32-bit userspace (smaller files, less slow to compile).
