Actually, that is worrying unless the LFS user su'd. Although you need root access to setup the filesystem and symlink for /tools at the start, and to eventually chroot, chapter 5 should be done as a regular user (i.e. 'lfs') to prevent a typo damaging your host system. > Anyway thanks again for your help guys, and Merry Christmas!
