Hi,
I'm getting some unexpected test failure in glibc(8.3-systemd, chapter 6.9)
make check result:
Summary of test results:
3 FAIL
5837 PASS
17 UNSUPPORTED
17 XFAIL
2 XPASS
3 Fail:
inet/tst-idna_name_classify
misc/tst-ttyname
stdlib/test-bz22786
I too have 3 FAIL, but the third one is not the same (nptl/tst-eintr1). I felt
safe to continue. I think you should be safe too...
I agree. I also have the first two failures, but my third is
posix/tst-spawn. There are over 5800 tests for glibc. An isolated
failure can be caused by many things and these tests often are for
extreme conditions.
Looking at the stdlib/test-bz22786 code, it is trying to allocate
(size_t) INT_MAX + 1 bytes. A failure may depend on the amount of
memory available.
I would not be concerned about this isolated test failure.

inet/tst-idna_name_classify and misc/tst-ttyname are mentioned in the book,
but not stdlib/test-bz22786.
My question is: test stdlib/test-bz22786 failed is safe to continue to
building LFS target system?
Also, have any method to fix this error, I doing some research but not resolve
this problem.
What is the content of:
/sources/glibc-2.28/build/stdlib/test-bz22786.test-result
You might see what happened there.
