The idea is to get rid of any dynamic interference and distraction that can happen when typing and copy/pasting lines and also to assure a possibility of successful reproductions. Same with ch6 which I'm starting now. For me it did not made much sense to repeat manually, prone to errors. I do not see it as a efficient way towards both learning and assuring a repeatable reproduction. > And please, stop top-posting in your replies. This is interesting. I'm using syplpheed/claws-mail since about 15 years and I never top post in mailing lists. Here for instance your line is clearly quote above this portion of the reply. And at the top is the last paragraph of yours, all 5 lines, preceded by the standard "On Fri, 18 Jan 2019 02:26:24 +0000 Ken Moffat ...". If needed I can put screen shots in a dropbox account. This said, there's one thing that the email client does in this mailing list here, is that it initially shows the quoted text as "[...]" which can be clicked to reveal the actual text. That's not done with any other mailing that I subscribe to or have subscribed over the years. It's one my list to check it out, why this happens. Meanwhile, just before I press 'Send' the reply here looks correctly formatted. Replies from yesterday do show correctly, but with those expandable "[...]" in place. I'll try to look it up today. -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page Do not top post on this list. A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting.
