Dear Martin,

I have also encountered exactly the same problem like you. And I think the problem may be caused by the early setting failure of the /tools symlink in chapter 4.2. I guess you may encounter a warning of the command: "ln -sv $LFS/tools /", and the output is something like " blabla file already exist".

Go back to section 4.2, delete the existed symlink by "rm -r /tools", execute "ln -sv $LFS/tools /". Recompile and reinstall the binutil and gcc earlier built if necessary.

Yours sincerely,
Neil

Hi scratchers,
I've got some problems with glibc-2.29:
configuration + make + make install has been without errors, but sanity check (with dummy.c) reports errors:

$LFS_TGT-gcc dummy.c -> error - cannot find crt1.o : No such file or directory.

readelf -l a.out | grep ': /tools'
readelf: Error: 'a.out' : No such file

Many thanks for your responding so.
