Coming to your problem, what do you mean with "automatically"? Looks like you
have mixed up directories: there should not be a mpc directory below
/sources/gcc-8.2.0, for 6.21.
Possibly not deleting the gcc directory from Chapter 5 before moving to
Chapter 6.
