Hello,

Run command:
mv -v /usr/bin/passwd /bin

Output:
mv: '/usr/bin/passwd' and '/bin/passwd' are the same file

Will this cause any issues further along?

I am logged in to chroot as the terminal shows:
(lfs chroot) root:/sources/shadow-4.6#

Your have /bin symlinked to /usr/bin. We don't do that.
