In reply to mail regarding compilation problem with GLib-2.58.3 in which I could not see /usr/lib/glib-2.0, your reply, among others, was as follows: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking at my own logs for glib-2.58.3, I see a lot of moaning from meson, but it all installed ok. For glib itself (and similarly for several other libraries it installed) I have /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0.5800.3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Earlier, I had completed LFS-8.4 in an old hdd. To get more space, I started LFS and BLFS in another hdd in which I ran into problems. I therefore went back to previous hdd and started with BLFS. After completing BASH Shell Startup Files, I compiled GLib-2.58.3 along with dependencies. I was successful as I could see all the three files mentioned by you. Also, /usr/lib/glib-2.0 was there. However, /usr/share/gtk-doc/html has only libidn2, libtasn1, libxml2 and p11-kit directories and not gio,glib,gobject directories as mentioned in the book. . I suppose I can ignore it as it is only doc directory. I also checked compiling of gobject-introspection-1.58.3 okay. Thank you so much. I shall now check the other hdd which gave me problem.
