Dear List,

Having competed section 5 of the 8.4 book without errors, I attempted to
change the current user (lfs) to user root.

I received the below message and am not sure how to proceed.

*lfs@AsusLaptop:/mnt/lfs/sources$ sudo su root[sudo] password for lfs:
Sorry, user lfs is not allowed to execute '/bin/su root' as root on
AsusLaptop.*

Should I change to my normal username on the laptop and then change to root?

All help appreciated.

TIA

Jack
