Python is a weird language - it is very finicky about indentation,
which can make copy-and-paste break. We don't do any
copy-and-paste, but we do add a line in the sed expression:
sed -i '/def add_multiarch_paths/a \ return' setup.py

I've highlighted the spaces after the backslash with '^', I make the
total eight. Maybe you had a different number of spaces ?
Oh, and (depending on what you want to do with the finished system)
you might want to update to Python-3.8.3 (and similarly openssl).
Please see either http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/errata/stable/
or http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/errata/stable-systemd/
depending on which variant you are building.
