I already told you it _is_ created!!! Type "man localedef" and search "locale-archive"... For me, the text tells exactly what happens when building the book: - some programs built in chap 5 look for locale information in /tools/lib/locale/locale-archive - the locale information added after building glibc goes into /usr/lib/locale/locale-archive - the link allows those chap 5 programs to find locale information where it is. Maybe the text is too terse, so tell me what you'd like me to add. Maybe also, since I'm not an English native speaker, I have an error in syntax or word use. I'll be glad to fix it, but I need to be pointed to it.
