Hello, This is more of an information than a call for supoort as I managed to solve my problem myself.
I built lfs 10.1 last week. While compiling "7.7. Libstdc++ from GCC-10.2.0, Pass 2" I got errors pointing out that I was missing libfl. According to the gcc documentation (https://gcc.gnu.org/install/prerequisites.html) Flex is needed "when modifying *.l files" or "to build GCC during development". Both of these cases don't sound like they should apply to LFS, yet I got the errors. By building "8.14. Flex-2.6.4" first, I got the dependencies without further issues. As previously stated it's not a big issue, it just seemed a bit weird to me.
