LSB AMD64:

https://refspecs.linuxfoundation.org/LSB_2.1.0/LSB-Core-AMD64/LSB-Core-AMD64/baselib.html#PROGINTERP

The path to the dynamic linker is hardcoded in the ELF executables.  So if you want the LFS system to be able to run the (dynamic linked) executables built on other system you'll have to put the dynamic linker at the location specified by LSB.

We are discussing /lib64 -> /lib symlink, not /lib -> /usr/lib etc.  We had some internal discussion about /usr merge but the decision is not made yet.
